It is with joy that Vivicarlino keeps an open window on the Lifog Centre in Utange, near Mombasa, Kenya.
We want to help our friends make their primary school a quality training centre: to achieve this goal, thanks to the contribution of our supporters, we have brought laptops, tablets, smartphones that allow us to organise e-learning courses for teachers and pupils.
We are also working together with Utange teachers to enrich the Lifog Center's library with books by African authors and to bring children first and foremost textbooks, which cost too much for families and are indispensable for effective teaching.
We are also currently networking with other associations, including Gli Amici di Utange (visit website), who want to build a better future for poorer communities by placing biodiversity as the first resource. Together we aim to train future citizens who are aware and active in environmental protection by increasing education, showing younger people their natural heritage and providing access to universities and professional studies.
Our long-distance adoption of Brighton Kennedy also continues, as an expression of Vivicarlino's community spirit: taking care of a child's growth together is an important commitment of all our members.

Some schools in our area have already been able to experience the richness of the exchange through targeted projects, e.g. with the creation of digital e-books containing stories and images sent by children from Utange.
